We believe that meaningful change begins with meaningful experiences. Through connection, community building and collaborative innovation, we explore how people, organisations and territories can create a more sustainable and fulfilling future together.
Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Yineke.
My life has been shaped by living between worlds.
I was born in the West, but my roots are in Asia. I was trained in Western science and business, yet I’ve always been fascinated by the wisdom traditions of the East. I built my education and early career in Northern Europe, while creating my business and community life in the South.
Throughout my life, I have found myself moving between different cultures, professions, philosophies and ways of thinking.
These experiences taught me something important:
Most of the challenges we face today are not caused by a lack of intelligence, knowledge or resources.
They arise because people, organisations and communities often struggle to understand perspectives different from their own.
Living between worlds taught me to listen before judging, to look beyond apparent contradictions, and to recognise that different perspectives often hold different parts of the same truth.
This ability to bridge perspectives has become the foundation of my work.
Whether I am working with entrepreneurs, local communities, remote professionals, public institutions or regenerative projects, I am interested in one central question:
What becomes possible when people with different experiences, cultures and ways of thinking learn to create together instead of apart?
Through My Experience, I explore this question by creating spaces for authentic connection, meaningful collaboration and real-world experimentation.
Because I believe that the most sustainable solutions rarely emerge from a single expert, discipline or ideology.
They emerge when people connect, co-create and discover new possibilities together.
That is where community begins.
And that is where lasting impact becomes possible.
TARA Living Lab

I became an ecological farmer because I realised what the land could offer me: a healthier, more conscious and more connected way of life.
But I soon discovered a paradox.
While this lifestyle was deeply rewarding, it was difficult to sustain economically. To continue living this way, I needed other sources of income beyond agriculture itself.
As I looked around, I realised this was not just my personal challenge. It reflected a much larger reality across the rural areas of Gran Canaria.
People are not leaving the countryside because they dislike rural life. Many leave because the economics no longer work. Small-scale farmers cannot generate enough income to employ workers, workers cannot find sufficient employment in rural areas, and without jobs people move elsewhere. Over time, land is abandoned and communities slowly disappear.
This raised an important question:
Could there be another way to regenerate rural territories?
TARA was created to explore that question.
Using our one-hectare finca as a Living Lab, we experiment with new forms of community, collaboration and shared responsibility. Instead of focusing solely on employer–employee relationships, we explore how people can contribute their talents, learn from one another and co-create places where both land and community can thrive.
Why We Do This
For ourselves. For our communities. For our planet.
My own journey has been shaped by living between different worlds, East and West, science and spirituality, entrepreneurship and ecology.
These experiences taught me that lasting solutions rarely come from a single perspective.
They emerge when people connect, listen, learn from one another and create together.
That is why we create spaces where authentic connection can grow into community, collaboration, impact and ultimately regeneration.
Every journey starts with a connection.
If our vision resonates with you, I’d love to hear your story.
